top of the line unit. works good numbers light up so it can be used at night.
Replaced the batteries ($12 cost), still doesn't work. Tried and it didn't work. Rubbish. Used it once when it was first purchased. Didn't need to use it for 12 months.
Overview: My dad got both my sisters and I one of these tire guages to measure the tire pressure and they work great.Ease of use: Turns on when you apply it to the tire to get the air pressure and automatically turns off again when your done.Accuracy: I have not tested the accuracy but for my car (which tells me when my air pressure is low) it works greatI recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable tire guage
but for a tool that says "5 years warranty" I think 2 years of life is not good enough 'though my father has the other one and it's still working. I bought two of this 2 years ago. Yes, It's a good product. If possible I would give it a 3.5 stars rating, taking away one star for dying in less than 50% of the factory warranty time and half a star because sometimes it was a little difficult to gauge some tires without the air escaping (just some times).Even if I could send it to the factory (with package freight prepaid) I think it's easier and perhaps cheaper to just buy another two.Will I buy them. the tool worked very well, I can't complain about that. Sadly, mine died about a month ago with the "L" error (Power supply depleted) which is covered under warranty "free of charged".
Accuracy of the digital per the manufacturer is 0.5psi +/- 1%, not what is stated by amazon. I have two gauges (the other one is a slime mechanical gauge) and they both agree around typical car tire pressures, but lower pressures (5-15 psi) they differ by about 1 psi. Haven't tested them above 45 psi. I bought this tire gauge back in december of 2008. Overall very pleased with the gauge. It has a very large psi range (5 to 150 psi). Been pretty happy with it. It has been pretty accurate from what I can tell.
